Open Letter to Edward Woodward

Dear Ed Woodward,

Hello there Mr Woodward. I shall not be indulging in any pleasantries with you because lets face it there has been nothing pleasant about your appointment as executive vice chairman of Manchester United.  Before We get to the core of the issues, I want to quickly thank David Gill for his beautiful work for Manchester united. He is someone who I overlooked in the past but I thank you Mr Woodward for making me  appreciate how much of an asset Mr Gill was to us and we will forever remember him.

First point of discussion Mr Woodward is, Do you even know what you are doing? You are supposed to back the new manager by helping him sign the players he needs to make the team his. You have been in the peripherals of the club for a while now and with your Business background I must say I expected more from you. It’s not all doom and gloom I must say as you have acquired a lot of sponsorship deals for the club and all but those precious deals of yours will mean nothing if you don’t back the manager on the pitch. Ultimately on pitch success brings off field success. If Mr Gill and Sir Alex didn’t leave the club in such a strong position would you be able to complete your numerous deals with tyre companies and tomato juice companies in Japan? I don’t think so. The way you have handled transfers in the transfer window has appalled me. Silly bids for Fabregas, Baines, De Rossi and even Fellaini have left us fans feeling dirty because our name has been dipped, dragged and stained by the mud you have decided to put us in. Let me help you out  Mr Woodward. If Mr Moyes comes with a name of a player for you, you don’t simply pick numbers in your head and make a silly bid. You talk to people at the club, find out if he is available, find out if the player is willing to move then you make a bid. You don’t just Fire your bids in there like a blind Rambo in battle seeking revenge. You should be more like Bond taking out your targets with finesse because this is not just some any random club, this is Manchester United!

Another point that’s really disturbing my soul is the Ander Herrera situation. Mr Woodward, What the hell was that? You actually knew he had a release clause and you bid 6 million below that? That reeks of  incompetence. Lets not even get into the whole false representatives thing because I will lose whatever cool I have left in my system. Even With Fellaini and Baines you actually sanctioned that bid to be faxed to Everton? 16 million for fellaini and 12 million for Baines. Mr Woodward are you really ready for this Job? These are key questions you should ask yourself because I’m sure you can do better than this.  Look at other directors like Daniel Levy. Mirror whatever he does because he is a COMPETENT MAN! He does what is best for the club! Its hard enough losing a gem like Sir Alex and a competent man like David Gill.  Please don’t make it worse with this incompetent behaviour. A lot of Man Utd fans are calling for you to get the chop. I will admit I will not be sad to see you go but I want to believe you can do better if you follow the advice I am about to give you.

Finally the advice I would give you Mr Woodward to solve all your problems with how the transfer market works is to play FOOTBALL MANAGER by SEGA and SI games. Their real life simulation of things can help you understand how things work in football. So that you don’t make a fool of yourself and the great club and Fans of Manchester United, I suggest you heed my advice. Many thanks and Good Luck

Yours Sincerely

Open Letter to David Moyes.

Dear Mr Moyes,

I am sure you are recovering Nicely after a long day of negotiations yesterday. Enjoy your rest because tough times are ahead. Like a lot of Manchester United fans across the globe I am worried about my beloved team. I am worried that you do not fully understand what it is to be a Manchester United manager. Now a lot of people will misinterpret this to mean that I am not backing you the new boss, I am a plastic fan, only a fan when we win and all that but this is not the case. It is because want you to be successful in your role because ultimately it will make us successful as a club.

Alright Lets dive right into the real issues. The First being transfers. My Moyes I commend you on your signing of Marouane Fellaini. He is a good midfield player and will give us the presence we have lacked in midfield since the days of Roy Keane. However, I have to question why you waited so long? Since you got the job I knew, You knew, We all knew that Fellaini was going to be a Manchester United player so I was really surprised to see you wait till the last min of the last day to get it done finally. Sometime in the summer Fellaini had a clause in his contract according to the media and confirmed by Roberto Martinez of 23 million pounds yet he’s being signed for 27.5 million. This does not represent good business Mr Moyes and we could have done with a player like him already in the ranks on Sunday when we played Liverpool. I understand you may not have had time to do all these things as you wanted because you had to prepare the squad you inherited for the new season as well but that’s the enormity of the job you have to be on the ball, there will always be no time in a club like Manchester United. I will not even go into the failed attempts to sign all the players because I know it’s not your fault. You wanted to sign players clearly but someone who we will not mention yet was to blame.

Secondly Mr Moyes, a defeat at Anfield in that manner is by no means acceptable. Even our captain said we were poor and need to improve so for you to some out and say we were brilliant baffles me.  Manchester United attack and never give up from first minute to the last but with your team I do not see that yet. I can Understand that maybe you are trying to encourage the mediocre cleverly and Welbeck by saying these things but I really hope in private you tell them as it is. I like how your team is shaped when defending. That’s something I have seen in your era that I am pleased with and I must commend you because last season we were conceding all the time. The point I am really trying to make is we as fans demand more from the team in matches like that. Yes we could lose the game but we want to see a decent effort not just a flat display. Please Mr Moyes we  are relying on you to continue our proud tradition of winning.

Lastly I would like to discuss Mr Ryan Giggs. I Love Giggs he is a true Legend and what he has done for the club may never be done again by another player. As much as I love him and other Fans love him too, I think you too should realize that he is on the last lap of his career and should not be integral to whatever we do. He should be an option for us.  I know for you he is an extraordinary player that you have never worked with before but I assure if you are looking for a player to consistently produce quality, it’s not him.  He still has a lot of quality one-off days in him so it’s up to you to find those days but please give the youngsters a chance like you said you would.  In conclusion I have faith in you to do the Job because you have all the tools to succeed so make it happen and I wish you all the best.

Yours Sincerely

Throwback Tuesdays- Jay Jay Okocha

Augustine Azuka “Jay-Jay” Okocha (born 14 August 1973 apparently lol) is a Nigerian former footballer who played as a midfielder. He is known for his stepovers, brilliant skill, technique, and being ‘so good that they named him twice’ (a line immortalised in a terrace chant while Okocha played for Bolton Wanderers). He is a dual Nigerian-Turkish citizen, having acquired Turkish citizenship as “Muhammet Yavuz” while playing for Süper Lig team Fenerbahçe.

He was and still is the best Midfielder to have ever come out on Nigeria. He brought quality to a football pitch and I am sure Bolton fans will never forget that freekick against Boro to keep them up, or the Goal for Nigeria out of nowhere to bring them level in the 2000 african Nations Cup final against Cameroun (they lost but  still)

Okocha never won the African Player of Year award, becoming arguably the best player never to win the award despite coming second twice in 1998 and 2004. He did however win the inaugural BBC African Footballer of the Year and the successive one, becoming the only player to retain the award and win it more than once. In 2004 he was listed in football legend Pelé’s FIFA 100 (a list of the greatest 125 living players of all time). In 2007 he was voted number 12 on the greatest African footballers of the past 50 years list, on a poll conducted by CAF to coincide with their 50th anniversary.

He is out 10maestro throwback for today. Here is a Video of him in action. Enjoy!

Back With a BANG! and a whimper for some!

The Premier League started on Saturday and Like many people across the land, I am very pleased to see it back! The excitement , the goals, the shocks and all, the opening weekend had everything we love about the English Premier League.

Manchester United thumped Swansea City in David Moyes’ first league game as manager, Cardiff City suffered defeat on their first game in the Premier League and Aston Villa stunned Arsenal on the opening day.

Rickie Lambert’s dream week continued as he helped Southampton to win at West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool started the new campaign with three points.

Roberto Martinez picked up a point in his first match as Everton manager, while the summer revolution at Sunderland got off to a rocky start following defeat by Fulham

Yesterday Tottenham also kicked off their campaign with a narrow win over crystal Palace and Chelsea Celebrated the return of the special one with a fine 2-0 win over Hull Tigers(prefer that to city)

Arsenal woes

Arsenal Fans all around the World must feel sad and angry at their club. I know it’s just the first game of the season but I think the manner of the defeat is what would have made Arsenal Fans really mad! I wrote a post last season Highlighting if Arsene is still the one for Arsenal. The problem with Arsenal and Arsene go deep! If your manager says winning fourth is like a trophy then that says it all! The manager and Board don’t match the ambitions of the fans. The fourth place he banks on is not as clear this year with teams like Tottenham and Liverpool strengthening. With the champions League Qualifiers coming up the squad looks very thin.

As a Neutral I think it would do Arsenal a world of good if they didn’t make the champions league proper this season because it will make the club realise that they need to have a better plan going forward as a football club. If they make it, it will only mask everything all over again and they will be in the same position next season. Just like Arsene did reacting to that 8-2 mauling they got by Manchester United few seasons ago, A similar damaging feat will spur the Frenchman to life again. I think Arsene cannot spot talent anymore that’s why Arsenal are in this position. He relied heavily on his astute signings and dealing but now managers like Klopp rom Dortmund have taken it to a whole new level. Players like Gervinho, Chamakh, Andre Santos and Park choo young make my point stronger meanwhile Klopp has recruited players like Lewandowski, Kagawa, Hummels and Gundoguan and made them champions! Something needs to be done fast or it will be a long and hard season for the Gunners

Oh Robin Van Persie

Robin van Persie acknowledged that it was important for Manchester United to make a winning start after scoring two goals in their 4-1 victory over Swansea City. Van Persie’s contribution was sublime, hooking in the opener before smashing home a 20-yard effort 17 minutes from time. Danny Welbeck also netted twice for the defending champions in their first league match under new manager David Moyes, while Wilfried Bony struck for Swansea.

I Personally have my doubts about Moysey time even with this thumping win but boy this went a long way to easing my pain! Even if we don’t sign the players we need, we have a very fine one in Robin Van Persie. I will enjoy watching him this season and even though i do not expect a trophy at least i know we will compete.

The special One returns!

SIGH! I never thought this day would come again. He is back and boy I am afraid! The way chelsea played yesterday albeit against HULL was scary. The amount of attacking talent on display in this team is crazy. Hazard, Oscar and De Bruyne were impressive. I am not surprised they are all good technical players with great movement and an eye for a pass. Frank Lampard rolled back the years with a POWERFUL Ronaldo Esque free kick that helped them to victory. Overall it was a fine display and I am not looking forward to the match against them next week. Premiership is well and truly on the way and I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds!

Flops of the season! Premierships Worst Eleven

It’s that time of the year again! The awards are dished out, the best players are showered with accolades and the best team wins their respective trophies! aaah football the beautiful game. However we have to also recognise the people who have made us shudder and gasp at a poor pass, shot and just overall contribution to the team. well here is The 10maestros FLOP eleven of the season. Enjoy!

GK. Joe Hart(Man Shitty oh sorry City -__-)

joe hart

Here in England we  always over hype players a lot and its very annoying. However with Joe hart I think England have a very good Keeper! This season he has been very below par. Maybe he let the hype around him get to his head? He needs to buckle down and cut down the mistakes but it is with great pleasure that I put him on this list!

RB. Maicon (Man… more time Shitty!!! alright alright city)

Ok ok I know what you are thinking this guy shouldn’t even be on here lol but I couldn’t help it. Mancini probably thought he was bringing in some experience to his then championship wining side. oh how wrong was he! He hardly played and when he did he was just dire. I am not sure how to check the stat but i am sure they lost most games he played in.

LB. Thomas Vermaelen TV5 (Arsenal)

TV5 it is with great disappointment that I am putting him in here. He was someone I looked at and thought Arsenal have a really good defender now all they need is a partner and backup to help in case of injuries but I was wrong. This season has seen some low-key un-skipper like performances and he’s even lost his place to Big per and Boss-cielney. Maybe the skipper band is weighing him down? Arsene has a big Job this summer to get him to the best form we once saw from him

CB. Titus Bramble (Sunderland)

To be Honest I didn’t see much of Bramble this season but whenever I did he just looked like he wasn’t a football player. He always looks clueless on the pitch lol a bit like this guy (click on this guy) he just seems surprised to be on the pitch. High profile mistakes and a clueless look is what has gotten you to this list and will always get you on till you retire  Titus!

CB. Christopher Samba

I have never been one to think he was the best Defender in the world but the money QPR paid for this guy was crazy! even the anzhi makalachalahchalchalchalchal lol chairman thought it was crazy money and they accepted! 12 million and wages over a 100 grand apparently. He made no difference and they eventually got relegated. if he cam earlier maybe but ah well you take the cards you are dealt!

CM. Charlie Adam( Stoke)

charlie adam

Oh charlie Boy! where are you?! This guy has not been the same since he left Blackpool. I really liked him, I even wanted him at United! Even last season I was dissapointed with him. He seems to have lost that amazing range of passing and drive he once had. Again at stoke he has been a passenger. He did score a key goal for stoke last weekend but it wont save him from my list. Step yo game up Charlie!!

CM. Cheik Tiote(Newcastle)

Cheik Tiote was labelled the new Makalele by many but he too may have suffered form all they hype because he has been poor all season when he has played. Fair enough he had injuries and the African cup of Nations which he was also poor in, all the times i have watched him he just doesnt have that influence he had on the midfield last season. Hes not clattering into people making interceptions and just that burst of energy is not there. Very dissapointing cheik! This is why you have made my flops list.

MR. Adam Johnson (Sunderland)

AJ city

Adam Johnson! lol I told a friend of mine that hes not all that  but he convinced me that he is a decent player. He made his dream move to Shitty and I even thought ok good on you son. His move obviously didnt work out with the money grabbers they have he had no chance. So he moved to Sunderland and had a very good second season. So this season i expected him to step it up! but he has failed. All i see fomr thi guy is a lot of aimless running, shooting and just generel rubbish lol he has a decent left foot and can be better obviously, lets hope he improves.

ML. NANI ( Manchester United)

As many of you that read my blog already know I have a strong Dislike for the lad and i have a post all about the lad heres the link for those of you that havent he deserves no more words.

ST. Emmanuel Adebayor

Sigh! AdeyB I am sad to put you on here because i believed in you san! i expected more from you as well MAN! The Arsenal fans will love this especially my friend Mr Arsenal Jimi Ojo, he has always maintined that AdeyB is a Fake guy! well finally I have to agree. Its the end of the road for you if you dont improve. I am sure spurs will add to the squad during the summer and that could be the end of Adebayor. CAHMON SAN I STILL BELIEVE IN YA!

ST. Nikica Jelavic

I think this guy is just suffering from second season syndrome. I hope this is just a blip in form and I fancy him to win it back next season. Really poor season though! cahmon san!

MANAGER: MR MARK HUGHES! haha signed poor players and not quite sure what he was trying to achieve. QPR’s relegation rests firmly on him.
